Weingut Fritz Kupelwieser is an historic estate winery in Cortina sulla Strada del Vino, in Italy's Alto Adige (South Tyrol) — one of the country's most celebrated white wine regions.
The estate was founded in 1878 by Fritz Kupelwieser, whose dedication to quality and to the land laid the foundation for everything the winery produces today. That same spirit lives on in the "Fritz" line, named in his honour.
Kupelwieser's vineyards benefit from excellent soils, abundant sunshine and the marked day-night temperature swings that give Alto Adige wines their signature freshness and precision. Only carefully selected, traditionally-vinified grapes typical of the region go into every bottle, under the guidance of acclaimed winemaker Peter Zemmer.
